Avail Robust Piston Valves for your steam locomotive
The piston valves provide glandless piston valves for long term reliable operation in steam, condensate as well as process lines. Emechmart offers a versatile piston check valve that can be used for both isolation and throttling applications and is available with flange, socket-weld and screwed ends.
As the leading piston valve manufacturer in India, Emechmart provides robust piston valve that controls the flow of fluid through a tube or pipe using the linear motion of a piston within a chamber or cylinder. Our piston control valve is used with fluids that cause seat wear. Most piston valves are manually operated, but alternative actuation modes, such as hydraulic and electronic, are occasionally used. The cost depends on the severity of the damage, and without physically removing the pieces and determining which ones need to be replaced, it's nearly impossible. Replacing a valve is more complicated than removing and replacing it because the valve seat and valve guide may require repair. You will need to take the valve seat to a machining facility if you want to reinstall it.
Types of piston valves offered by Emechmart
Emechmart provides two types of piston valves are balanced and unbalanced. In high pressure applications, balanced valves are used, while in low pressure applications unbalanced valves are used. Type and normal are two types of piston designs that are available at affordbale piston valve price. In the regulation type the bottom half of the piston is tapered to produce a throttling effect. The heart of the piston valve is the sealing ring.
Piston valves are also used as tank and reactor drain valves, which have a piston, called a ram. Since the piston and seal combination is self-cleaning, this valve can remove slurry or powder from tanks. Unlike globe-style piston valves, ram-style piston valves are usually Y-shaped to minimize fluid flow restriction. Also, Rama carries another seal with him on his travels.
Piston valves are superior to gate valves in that they tolerate dirt in the lines even when sealing properly. The valve port remains closed until the piston is fully retracted from the seal ring, minimizing any corrosion on the sealing surface due to fluid flow. The seal is suitable for modification applications as it can withstand partial opening without corrosion. In some cases, a needle-shaped extension may be placed in front of the piston to improve flow control. The seal washes away any particles that accumulate on the piston when the valve is closed. Even if piston valves are installed but not used for a long time, they can continue to function efficiently.

Application of piston valve
Piston valves are commonly used to distribute saturated and superheated steam and hot water in power plants, refineries, pulp and paper mills, and other similar facilities. Some examples are steam headers and manifolds, condensate, desuperheaters, steam trap isolation and other uses. The piston valve price list comes in size up to 150. Many, if not all, piston valves will be designed for face-to-face and flange dimensions relevant to globe-type pipeline valves. As per DIN standards or ANSI and ASME specifications. Lower range valves will usually be made of cast steel, while higher range valves will be made of forged steel. Depending on the class, ends may be flanged, threaded, butted or socketed. Gasses like oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen can also be controlled with the help of piston valves. Heat transfer oil and various chemicals are also used along with it.
